Another Couple of Challenge Cards

Just thought I'd quickly put up the cards I made last night for a couple of challenges - Kristina's latest colour challenge and Nerine's latest sketch.

I really liked the colours for Kristina's Colour Inspiration #43, but there was no neutral this time.

I'm not real sure about the strictness of colour challenges in relation to neutrals, so I did my best with NO white or vanilla.

This was the first time I have pulled out Pick a Petal and am so glad I did. I think this card is just a bit cute and I kept to the colours in the inspiration exactly. The leaf is scored down the middle for a bit of dimension, and the rub on is from Hidden Garden in the Summer Mini - only a month left to get these great rub ons!

Nerine gave us a simple, classic sketch this week - I really do like working with your sketches Nerine!

I have taken a little bit of liberty with this sketch, but the #1 wouldn't fit otherwise. I made this for a little man turning one in a month (I'm trying to be prepared at the moment!). I've used retired Summer Picnic DSP and pulled the colours from the stripes - Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Bashful Blue. The stars are from In the Stars in the current Summer Mini, and I punched out the feature star with the large star punch - so easy! The number 1 is courtesy of On Board Simon Lower chipboard (on the retired list, so let me know ASAP if you need some), and edged with Bashful Blue marker.

Not a bad effort for a quick Saturday night crafting session!

Thanks girls, I look forward to your next inspiration.

These look great Natasha. I've been considering Pick a Petal for a while now and you've done a great job with it. As for the #1, your more than welcome to 'stretch' my sketches to suit.
