You're a Star Troy!

When I went downstairs today to pull out the cardstock for Makeesha's latest colour challenge, I was faced with a challenge indeed - a little bit over a 1/4 of a sheet of Ruby Red.... and no DSP featuring Ruby Red..... Hmmmm.

Here's the colour combo we were working with this week:

And Keesh put forward an extra challenge too of creating a masculine card. I'm never one to turn down a challenge (even when another dimension is added!!), so after a bit of playing this is what I came up with for our good friend Troy. He visited us today too! He moved interstate with his family earlier this year and we all miss each other terribly, so this visit (albeit on his own and short) was great.

Very simple and almost no stamping, but it needed a bit more white. I love the star punches, and I figure you really can't go wrong with stripes or stars for masculine cards (you'll notice the theme through all the ones I've posted!). The small star punch is just fabulous!

Troy's birthday isn't for a few weeks yet, so thank you Keesh for helping me be a bit organised!

Stamps: A Little Birthday Cheer
Card: Baja Breeze, Ruby Red
Paper: Basic Grey Patterns (Level 1 Hostess gift)
Ink: Versamark
Other: White embossing powder, Star punch, Small Star punch
